In Version 6, it has been shown that after the Oni kills, the victim also becomes an Oni themselves. The new "Character Oni" will turn against Hiroshi and chase him. These transformed Onis also seem to be able to transform back into the original character. This is shown when Takuro (who had apparently been caught by the Oni, much earlier) asked Hiroshi to join him, just after he takes the Blue Piece in the Oni Room, only to turn into an Oni when Hiroshi tries to place the Blue Pieces into the frame.

The movement and speed of the Transformed Onis are identical to the original oni. All three can even appear as random chases just like the original. Towards the end of Version 6.0, this makes five different enemies that begin to appear at random.
